Dave Johnson Restorations Cellulose Nitrate Trapezoid Inlays
Just in from my friend Dave Johnson and offered at an introductory price of $150.00 plus shipping. Real cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. This celluloid has the same distinctive pattern as seen on most Les Paul's from 1957 thru 1960. The thickness is 0.075" with the pattern running thru the celluloid to allow for installation in Historic Les Paul's with deeper inlay cavity routes. The celluloid can also be sanded down thinner to allow for installation in vintage Les Paul's giving the same vintage look. We found the original manufacture that supplied this celluloid back in the 1950's. We were able to confirm the pattern and color originally used. Just as the original celluloid nitrate it is subject to yellowing when exposed to UV light. Available for Historic or Vintage replacement.

Gibson Custom Shop Gloss Finish Sunburst 1957 Figured Top Les Paul Reissue (2010)(MGL "HotRod Series" w/ Celluloid Inlays)
(Item#862)(as new)(very limited run) 2010 gloss finish sunburst '57 in "Washed Washed Cherry"(double Washed Cherry) with a lightly figured eastern maple top and a cherry back, great burst color!! This is another guitar from a series I recently started that I'm calling the MGL "HotRod Series". These are new guitars that I'm hand picking and feel have the old vibe and look along with great tone so they are worthy of hot rodding with a bunch of aftermarket parts including AVH Dave Johnson real celluloid inlays(installed by Dave). Guitar weighs 8 lbs 13 ounces, nice "C" shape neck that measures: 1st fret .918", 12th fret 1.004", great looking color in the fingerboard, the Burstbucker 1&2 pickups sound good in this guitar so I left them and installed RS Guitarworks aged covers on them, here's a list of the other parts added: Vintage Clone - "Light Cream" M69 rings, '59 Burst style knobs, poker chip, switch nut, thumbwheels and steel stoptail studs, , AVH by Dave Johnson - '59 pickguard, rolled plastic truss rod cover, I have also lightly aged the rest of the stock hardware, (all of the original parts removed are also included with guitar). Gibson Custom Shop Gloss Finish Sunburst 1957 Les Paul Reissue (2010)("Page Burst" Finish)
(Item#874)(as new) '57 plaintop in gloss "Page Burst" finish(same finish as the Jimmy Page #2), guitar also has a very dark cherry back as the Page #2's also had, I have included some pictures of two VOS Page #2's I had and you can easily see how this '57 was finished in the same color and even has the same dark spots in the burst around the switch area, Guitar weighs 8 lbs 8 ounces, very nice neck profile that measures: 1st fret .904", 12th fret .985"(this is no R7 neck!), really DARK rosewood fingerboard, pickups are Burstbuckers that measure higher than typical 1&2's at: bridge - 8.23K, neck - 7.73K. Nice sounding guitar that's real lively and rings nice acoustically. Actually you can get a pretty good early Page tone with it. Tight bottom end, not too much in the mids so the middle and neck positions have good clarity. And when played clean, those positions have some jangle to them like some of the clean Page tones. Top end has a good amount of presence and bite to it. So overall a bright and lively guitar Guitar. Comes with all paperwork, certificate, label from box showing "Page Burst" as the color and I am including a black Jimmy Page signature case. ( Please call or email for more info)

Gibson Custom Shop VOS Chambered 1958 Les Paul Figured Top reissue (2010)(MGL "HotRod Series")
(Item#889)(as new) Iced Tea VOS chambered '58 with a wide and wavy eastern maple top, 7 lbs 10 ounces, real easy playing neck that's more like a '59 and measures: 1st fret .916", 12th fret .996", Burstbucker pickups that read: bridge - 8.21K, neck - 7.7K. The whole guitar has been wiped down with Gibson polish to remove the VOS gunk. This is another one of my MGL "HotRod Series" guitars. These are new guitars that I'm hand picking and feel have the old vibe and look along with great tone so they are worthy of hot rodding with some aftermarket parts. Here's what has been added to this guitar: Vintage Clone - Burst knobs, bridge thumbwheels and steel tailpiece studs.(original parts also included) I also aged the bridge and tailpiece. This one is a little different than the norm as far as chambered LP's go. Usually they are softer and a little more compressed sounding. This guitar is much closer to the sound of a solid body LP and is more aggressive than most. Good amount of tight and focused bottom end, fat mids that are clear and honky, good sizzle and bite in the top end, comes with all paperwork, certificate and black Gibson Custom case.

GVCG Greenwich Village Custom Guitars 1950's Sunburst Strat Replica
(Item#877)(consignment) GVCG Sunburst '50's strat replica that Jonathan Wilson originally built for Matte Henderson, 7 lbs 1 ounce, 2-tone burst over a 1-piece ash body, great feeling soft "V" shape maple neck that measures: 1st fret .882", 12th fret .943", 9.5 radius and med. jumbo frets, the aged plastic parts on the guitar look to be from "Fatboy" in England, not sure what the pickups are but they read: bridge - 6.06K, middle - 6.08K, neck - 5.85K. Killer overall vibe and feel to this guitar as usual from Jonathan!! Nice and woody sounding guitar and especially for a maple board, bottom end has that nice piano tone, good amount of mids so the single note don't get thin, smooth top end that still has some good twang and jangle but not harsh, comes with a tan tolex G&G case with "GVCG" on it.
