(NEW) MGL50 Single Channel "Vintage Dirty" Limited Run Amp w/ Complete NOS Mustard Cap Circuit & Siemens EL34's (10th Anniversary Sale Price)
New option available in our MGL50 Lead Master Series. A single channel amp in our “Vintage Dirty” voicing with an all NOS mustard cap circuit paired with NOS Siemens EL34’s for glorious classic ‘70’s - ‘80’s Marshall tones! The all mustard cap circuit covers late Plexi to early metal panel type tones at any volume. From super friendly home volumes to any size venue band gigs. This is a more vintage non-master type tone, so different from our 2204 based amps. The mustard caps create a smoother and more woody tone but also have that great chewy upper midrange bite and sizzle that’s part of the classic Marshall tone. There are 2 inputs, high and low sensitivity like in our other single channel amps. Like our 2 channel MGL50 mustard circuit, this amp uses our higher voltage 100w power transformer and a paper layer wound Plexi spec output transformer. There’s a great “Vintage Dirty” voicing demo here on the site and our YouTube page that takes you thru all of the gain levels and types of tone you can get with this circuit. The demo is “MGL100 & MGL50 Amps “Vintage Dirty” Voicing Full Demo”
Front Panel Switches:
The 1st switch from the left chooses between 2 different vintage mustard caps for the first tone cap in the circuit. In the VIN position it's a glorious 1967 mustard cap that’s real 3D, open & transparent with smooth gain and in the MOD position it's a 1976 mustard cap and the mids are fatter & more dense for a little more aggressive tone. The 2nd switch to the right is a 3-way bright switch, down is the stock value bright cap, in the middle there is no bright cap and with the switch up it’s a value at about half way.
Back Panel Switches:
1st switch is the effects loop true bypass switch, with the switch in the off position, the loop is out of the circuit, 2nd switch in the up position will engage a Jose style diode clipping Saturation circuit, 3rd switch to the right is the Voicing switch that we use on all of our amps, in the Vintage position you get a warmer, sweeter and more compressed tone and in the modern position you get a tighter, brighter & more aggressive tone.

Customer Amp Build Info
We only build to order and make around 30-50 amps a year. So each amp is built one at a time for each customer. When the amp build starts we order your head cab and or speaker cab with Swanson Cabinets who also builds to order. This allows you choices in the style and looks of the cab so you get what you want. Each amp is like a one-off Custom Shop build. To order an amp and reserve a build spot, we get a $500.00 non-refundable deposit. We try to stick to very accurate estimated build times and never take more deposits for more amps than we can build in a reasonable time frame of 2-8 weeks.
